Each gift box will contain these three things:

-Intentionally curated items: including comfort items, art, and nourishing treats that align with the gift theme and help provide tangible support for those navigating important seasons of life. These items will provide guided support and comfort to the people you care about.

-Rich written content in the form of a guidebook that is filled with thoughtful insights, reflective storytelling, and practical wisdom centered around connection, growth, and the important life moments that shape us.  These guidebooks, created in collaboration with therapists, writers, and trusted experts, are designed to help people connect more deeply with themselves and feel supported by those around them.

-A deck of question cards is designed to make the gift relational, which supports healing and lasting support. The questions are related to the content in the guidebook and can be answered with a trusted friend or family member. Connection to community is an integral part of navigating important seasons of life well and these cards help facilitate this connection.

These elements (the guidebook, the items , and the question deck) are designed to help people dive deeper and create space to truly listen to what is inside. While the subject and contents vary from gift to gift, each is grounded in science, symbolized through art/creativity, and focused on important life events.

After working as a therapist for 15+ years in private practice and hospital settings, I began to dream of creating additional ways for people to pursue healing and wellness in their everyday lives. I saw a tremendous unmet need in the mental health and emotional wellness space for accessible, professional, and high-quality emotional/relational support outside of the typical talk therapy context.

The Pearl Project began from a simple but deeply felt conviction: when people are walking through some of life’s most tender, overwhelming, and meaningful moments, they deserve support that feels thoughtful, beautiful, and actually helpful. After years of supporting people through life’s biggest moments in a private practice and hospital setting, I wanted to create something that went beyond the usual “thinking of you” gift — something that could offer practical emotional support, deepen connection, and remind people they are not alone.

What started as an idea grew into a mission to make high-quality mental health support more accessible through curated gifts for life’s meaningful moments. The Pearl Project brings together therapist-written guidebooks, question decks designed for deeper connection, and carefully chosen gift items that fit the occasion. It’s a way of saying, “I see you, I care about you, and you matter,” in a form that feels tangible, and personal.

Honestly, I also think there is something a little magical about giving people a gift that is both beautiful and useful. We’ve all received those gifts that make us smile politely and then quietly re-home them later. I wanted to create the opposite: gifts that uplift and support in memorable and lasting ways. Gifts that create a moment, open a conversation, or offer comfort when words are hard to find.

The rich symbolism of the pearl is so significant. We learn that beauty is found in the most unlikely places and that being willing to explore beneath the surface is almost always worth it. Each kit offers this very invitation: to go deeper, to explore beneath the surface of your life. Tremendous value can be found in the most unlikely places, and these treasures are often forged through grit, taking shape over time as we embrace the unexpected.

All boxes ship for free!

You can expect each gift to typically ship between within one-to-three days of placing an order. You can expect delivering between five-to-nine days after the box ships

Each gift ships in a cardboard box with Pearl Project branded tape on the outside. Gift items are carefully packed and will arrive as beautiful as the day it was packed. No prices, packing slips, or receipts are included to the recipient. 

We do not include any receipts or prices in our boxes.

Yes! We can write a custom message for $1.99 if you add our Handwritten Gift Note Product to your cart. Once you’ve added it to your cart, just write your message in the "Add order notes" section in your cart. If you are unsure what to write you can give us the name of the person you are sending the gift to and explain a little about what you would like to say. We will write a note for you!
